How MiniUtil tools are checked

Calculators and unit converters

The displayed result is checked against the formula or conversion factor stated on the page. Tests should cover zero, decimal values, representative everyday values, large values, invalid input, and conversions in both directions when supported. Rounding and significant-figure behavior should be visible rather than implied.

Developer and data tools

Parsers and encoders are checked with ordinary inputs plus edge cases such as Unicode text, escaped characters, empty values, malformed input, quoted delimiters, and multiline data. When a maintained standards-aware library is more dependable than custom parsing, MiniUtil prefers the library and documents practical limits.

File tools

A successful download is not treated as proof of a valid conversion. Generated files should be reopened and checked for expected content, file type, page count or dimensions, and basic compatibility. Browser memory and codec limits are disclosed where they affect large or unusual files.

Explanatory content

Supporting copy should describe only features that exist in the current interface. It should explain the method, useful examples, limitations, and privacy behavior without padding the page with unrelated search phrases. Automated assistance may be used during development, but functionality and factual claims still require review against the shipped tool.
